Biography
Erik Sinnige is active as a musictherapist, guitarteacher and jazzguitarist. He studied jazz at the Alkmaar Conservatory with Walther de Graaff and Hans Kunneman. He studied privately with Reinier Voet, Guido Schijen and Olaf Tarenskeen.
Erik studied musictheory at the Schumann Akademie with Wobbe Kuiper.
In 2002 graduated his studies as a musictherapist at the Hogeschool van Utrecht.

His encounter with gypsyviolinplayer Jelle van Tongeren, with whom he formed a duo for a few years, brought Erik in touch with jazzmusic. This duo started out busking and by doing so, the two musicians gained a lot of experience. The bookings they got from these street performances form the very beginning of Erik’s musical career.

His latest project is his own trio, with double bass and drums; a tight group wich aims for an open, transparent and detailed sound.
Erik appeared on multiple (jazz) festivals like Haarlem Jazzstad, Jazzfestival Breda and Oerol.
